On Friday, the Preps had some special visitors who came to teach us about fire safety. Firefighters from the Brunswick Station talked about what to do when there is a fire and some of the questions that they asked us were "Has your family got a safe meeting spot?" "What would you do if your clothes were on fire?" "What number should you call if there is a fire?"
They taught us some useful strategies for exiting a building on fire...
and helped the Preps think of safe places that they could go when waiting for a fire truck to arrive.
We were lucky enough to see their special equipment which protects them from the flames and smoke. Can you name these?
In a few weeks time we will be visiting their fire station and will learn even more about Firefighters and their job.
