Book Week Celebration: Dress Up Day

Last week, the students participated in numerous Book Week activities. One of these was dressing up as their favourite character from a story for assembly. We were so impressed with all of the different characters that we meet, including the Saucepan Man, Iron Man, Wally, Mr Twit and Harry Potter to name a few.

Below you will find some gorgeous pictures of the students and also a picture of the teachers all dressed as Alice in Wonderland characters.

The students then used this experience as a stimulus for their writing.

Developmental Play: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

As you know, our topic in Integrated Studies this term is 'Jobs' and the students have been very excited to talk to all the visitors who have been coming into our classroom about their jobs.

In order to explore this further, during developmental play, students role played different jobs, such as firefighters, teachers and karate teachers. They pretended and experimented with the jobs, thinking about their duties and equipment. This experience provided a stimulus for their writing during the week.

Below you will find pictures of the students in character, enjoy! :)
